About The Position

The Payroll Staff Accountant will be responsible for all aspects of the payroll function. This includes timely and accurate processing of the payroll, reviewing inquiries to ensure set up of Federal, State, and Local taxes, assisting associates with payroll and tax questions and concerns, and being responsible for auditing, identifying, and resolving payroll and tax variances. The role also involves compliance research related to payroll and tax questions and concerns, and completion of data reconciliation between subsystem (Workday/OSV) and Oracle/SAP General Ledger. The impact this role can have includes troubleshooting errors as they arise during the payroll process, execution of ongoing Payroll processes, facilitation of cross brand communication as it relates to Payroll functions and deliverables, creation and maintenance of audit reports for data within Workday, assisting with project development and implementation on an ongoing basis, and assisting with improvements related to process enhancements, innovation, and technological updates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1 year experience in multi-state payroll tax
  • Systems experience and strong aptitude with Excel, Access, Oracle, and SAP
  • Demonstrated collaboration skills – Ability to collaborate across departments with various Payroll stakeholders, HR, and IT resources
  • Outstanding leadership and teamwork skills; ability to work well with others
  • Excellent Communication skills (verbal and written); ability to articulate potentially complex system and process components into user friendly terms
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced and ever-changing environment
  • Attention to detail, ability to take initiative, and excellent prioritization abilities required
