The Payroll Specialist is responsible for payroll processing, payroll audits, system updates, document/file review, and verification that is required. Requirements

  • A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
  • Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
  • Candidates must have 3+ years of SAP/ADP Payroll system experience
  • Candidates must have knowledge and understanding of the differences between exempt and non-exempt payroll practices

Nice To Haves

  • Candidates with Workday HRM system preferred
  • Candidates with eTime and/or Workforce Manager, time and attendance systems experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Participates in processing the payroll with speed and accuracy
  • Audits employee record and reconciles totals by department / location / country etc.
  • Assists with policy interpretation to ensure appropriate amounts or deductions are calculated and applied to any necessary amounts
  • Participate in the verification of compliance to all local, state, and federal policies / laws and requirements
  • Assists with any internal audits, workers compensation situations, tax filing and other related documentation
