About The Position

As a member of our USA Payroll team, you would be a leading partner in all activities related to the timely and accurate processing of USA and Canadian payrolls for Fiserv’s 21000+ employees. This is an opportunity to work with a skilled, collaborative team in a global environment.

Requirements

  • 4-year college degree in relevant discipline (accounting, finance, business administration, etc.)
  • 3-5 years of an equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience
  • 3+ years of high volume full-cycle in-house multi-state payroll processing experience
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations as well as wage laws for the USA
  • Strong proficiency of Microsoft Excel required (Vlookup, Pivot Tables, etc)

Responsibilities

  • Processing USA bi-weekly and/or semi-monthly as well as Canada Bi-weekly payrolls from start to finish. To include reviewing hours entered, overtime calculations, retro pay, benefit deductions/contributions, bonus/commission payouts and leave of absence payments, garnishments etc.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll inquiries/discrepancies via timely communications and resolutions, typically via our case tracking system
  • Evaluate, calculate and process off-cycle payments as needed and submit for approval
  • Partner with appropriate business and/or human resource functions as needed to ensure timely and accurate entry of payroll transactions
  • Provide functional support of Workday Payroll working directly with internal customers in managing their requests
  • Validate new hire/rehire set up and taxation
  • Handle multi-state tax allocation set up, calculations, corrections, overpayment / repayment calculations and W-2 corrections.
  • Maintain and update payroll procedures and documentation
