About The Position

As a member of our USA Payroll team, you would be a leading partner in all activities related to the timely and accurate processing of USA and Canadian payrolls for Fiserv’s 21000+ employees. This is an opportunity to work with a skilled, collaborative team in a global environment.

Requirements

4-year college degree in relevant discipline (accounting, finance, business administration, etc.)
3-5 years of an equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience
3+ years of high volume full-cycle in-house multi-state payroll processing experience
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations as well as wage laws for the USA
Strong proficiency of Microsoft Excel required (Vlookup, Pivot Tables, etc)

Responsibilities

Processing USA bi-weekly and/or semi-monthly as well as Canada Bi-weekly payrolls from start to finish. To include reviewing hours entered, overtime calculations, retro pay, benefit deductions/contributions, bonus/commission payouts and leave of absence payments, garnishments etc.
Investigate and resolve payroll inquiries/discrepancies via timely communications and resolutions, typically via our case tracking system
Evaluate, calculate and process off-cycle payments as needed and submit for approval
Partner with appropriate business and/or human resource functions as needed to ensure timely and accurate entry of payroll transactions
Provide functional support of Workday Payroll working directly with internal customers in managing their requests
Validate new hire/rehire set up and taxation
Handle multi-state tax allocation set up, calculations, corrections, overpayment / repayment calculations and W-2 corrections.
Maintain and update payroll procedures and documentation
