About The Position

The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for reviewing time sheets, work charts, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies. This role involves compiling employee time, production, and payroll data, verifying attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, and processing and issuing employee paychecks. The specialist will also record employee information to maintain payroll records, issue adjustments for pay errors or increases, and compile departmental analytical reports. Additionally, the position provides support to employees accessing the ADP Employee Portal, completes Verification of Income Requests, distributes department mail, and maintains an organized electronic/paperless filing system.

Responsibilities

  • Review time sheets, work charts, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
  • Compile employee time, production, and payroll data from time sheets and other records.
  • Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, and post information onto designated records.
  • Process and issue employee paychecks and statements of earnings and deductions.
  • Record employee information, such as exemptions, transfers, and resignations, to maintain and update payroll records.
  • Issue and record adjustments to pay related to previous errors or retroactive increases.
  • Compile and review weekly departmental analytical reports.
  • Provide Support to employees accessing the ADP Employee Portal.
  • Complete Verification of Income Requests.
  • Distribute department mail.
  • Maintain a well organized electronic / paperless filing system.
