About The Position

The Payroll Specialist processes all aspects of payroll, providing a high level of customer service. Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all organizational levels. Demonstrate efficiency and flexibility in performing detailed tasks in a fast-paced work environment with frequent interruptions, changing priorities, and multiple deadlines. Assist in the reconciliation of payroll accounts as needed. Maturity in dealing with sensitive and confidential matters.

Requirements

  • 2 years' experience with processing payroll to include collection, calculating, and entering data preferred
  • Prior experience in a customer service environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of Wage and Hour Law
  • Strong written and oral commination skills
  • Professional, driven, motivated self-starter
  • Can pass a drug test and criminal background check.
  • Are legally eligible to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of WorkDay payroll software or ability to learn specific applications a plus

Responsibilities

  • Compiling payroll data, posts wages, and reconciles errors, in order to balance the payroll and maintain payroll records
  • Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications to produce correspondence, electronic communication, and maintain spreadsheets and databases
  • Identifying and resolving internal discrepancies
  • Processing weekly transfer of payroll data to payroll system
  • Researching employee questions concerning paychecks or pay in general
  • Supporting and sustaining a positive work environment that fosters team performance through own work and behavior
  • Performing other duties as assigned
