This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations while delivering excellent support to employees. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of payroll processing experience, including commission-based compensation
  • Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations
  • Experience with payroll software such as Paycom, Rippling, or similar systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data management
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation
  • Experience in multi-state payroll processing
  • Familiarity with HRIS and commission tracking systems

Responsibilities

  • Process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Calculate sales commission payments based on company compensation plans
  • Validate commission data in coordination with Sales and Finance teams
  • Maintain and update payroll records, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, benefits deductions, and commission structures
  • Review and verify timekeeping and sales and commission data for completeness and accuracy
  • Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies
  • Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, and commissions as needed
  • Manage payroll taxes, filings, and year-end reporting, including W-2s
  • Coordinate with HR and Finance teams on employee data and benefits administration
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, commissions, deductions, and discrepancies
  • Assist with audits and provide documentation as required
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll and commission processes and systems
  • Attend regular internal practice community meetings
  • Collaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership
  • Complete client case studies and learning material (blogs, media material)
  • Build out material to contribute to the Digital Transformation practice
  • Attend internal itD networking events (in person and virtual)
  • Work with leadership on career fast-track opportunities
