About The Position

Payroll Specialist Opportunity: Full-Time | Permanent Position | Monday–Friday | Onsite Manage the full payroll cycle for an organization of approximately 100–130 employees, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. Review and audit employee timecards, process payroll, run payroll reports, and communicate with employees and leadership regarding payroll-related questions. Maintain and support HRIS/payroll systems, including system configuration, updates, and troubleshooting (experience with systems such as SmartLinx, ADP, Workday, or similar HRIS platforms preferred). Process payroll for a workforce with multiple union contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and labor agreements. Report directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer while collaborating with the HR team to support payroll operations and continuous process improvement.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 3 years of full-cycle payroll experience required.
  • Experience processing payroll in a union environment preferred.
  • Experience maintaining and configuring HRIS/payroll systems (SmartLinx, ADP, Workday, or similar).
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage confidential information with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Willingness to obtain the Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification within one year of employment.
