The Payroll Specialist will administer and maintain the electronic timekeeping system, enter data into payroll and administrative databases, and reconcile payroll prior to transmission. This role is responsible for processing payroll accurately and ensuring its timely completion for MP companies. The specialist will also handle manual checks, ACHs, and generate certified payrolls for prevailing wage jobs. Additionally, they will report monthly hours, wages, and payments to various Unions, manage the weekly submission of certified payroll reports across multiple states, and audit subcontractor certified payroll reports. Key responsibilities include determining payroll liabilities by inputting tax information, managing 401K transfers, direct deposits, child support, wage assignments, and garnishments. The role involves responding to customer inquiries, performing account balance and general ledger reconciliations, making journal entries, and assisting with audit preparations. Processing year-end reporting such as W-2s and W-2Cs is also part of the duties. The position requires strict adherence to data privacy and confidentiality policies.
