The Payroll Specialist plays a critical role in delivering exceptional payroll services to Bene-Care clients. This position is responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll lifecycle, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all relevant regulations. Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
1+ years of experience in payroll, preferably with hands-on processing.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word).
Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and research capabilities.
Professionalism in handling sensitive and confidential information.
Accurate data entry skills and solid mathematical aptitude.
Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP).
Experience supporting multi-state payrolls and tax filings.
Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) will be required within the first year of employment. The employee will be required to complete the 12-week course and pass the exam. Payment for both the course and the exam will be provided by Bene-Care Payroll, LLC.

Responsibilities

Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned payroll clients, maintaining proactive and professional communication.
Gather, validate, and enter payroll data to ensure timely and accurate processing.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations; apply changes as needed.
Troubleshoot and resolve payroll, tax, system, and compliance issues in a timely and effective manner.
Train clients on the use of payroll software and support ongoing system usage.
Update and maintain client records in the payroll system, including new hires, deductions, tax updates, etc.
Collaborate with internal departments, outside of payroll, to support comprehensive client service.
Assist clients with questions related to HR compliance and basic employment regulations.
Manage payroll package distribution, including printing, sealing, and mailing.
Support department initiatives and contribute to special projects as assigned.
