The Payroll Specialist at Easterseals New Hampshire and Vermont is responsible for accurately and timely completing all Agency payrolls and assisting staff with inquiries related to payroll, time entry, and absence requests. Key duties include preparing manual checks, processing and auditing payroll paperwork, and responding to basic inquiries about paycheck details, pay periods, time off balances, and company policies. The specialist will utilize Human Capital Management (HCM) information systems to verify employee data, escalate complex issues, and guide employees through self-service portals for payroll and HR-related changes. This role also involves coordinating with other departments, managing internal controls, conducting periodic audits, developing corrective action plans, and preparing various payroll reports and financial entries. Additionally, the Payroll Specialist acts as a liaison between department heads and the payroll department, ensuring positive relations and customer satisfaction, and contributes to the development and improvement of payroll processes and automated systems.
