About The Position

The Payroll Manager – MW Union Payroll position is a mid-level accounting professional that is responsible for initiating, reviewing, and processing payroll. This role involves managing one payroll specialist and reporting to the Portage, Indiana Office.

Requirements

  • Over 3 years of payroll processing experience for Unions.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license prior to employment.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance or comparable Business Administration Certification programs.

Responsibilities

  • Initiating, reviewing, and processing payroll.
  • Exporting time-keeping data and importing into the payroll ERP.
  • Exporting the payment file from the ERP and importing into the bank and ADP.
  • Preparing checks for Union Employees.
  • Reviewing and paying monthly Union Benefits.
  • Updating craft wage rates and benefits in the ERP for new Unions.
  • Updating craft wage rates and benefits in the ERP for annual Union escalations.
  • Performing project audits that include review of the project equipment schedule and its costs.
