About The Position

WF Group of Companies is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and professional Payroll/HR Administrator to join our team. This position is responsible for the administration of payroll and Human Resources functions, including employee records, onboarding, benefits administration, recruitment support, and payroll processing, while also providing general administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the office. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar Payroll and HR role, strong computer skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Payroll, Human Resources Administration, or a related role.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced office environment with competing priorities.
  • Excellent computer skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working independently and handling high-volume work demands.
  • Ability to multitask on various projects while effectively managing priorities.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Professional, reliable, and highly organized.
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience processing payroll using ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll software.
  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation is considered a strong asset.
  • Knowledge of Alberta employment standards and Canadian payroll legislation is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on schedule through ADP Workforce Now.
  • Maintain payroll records and employee information.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll legislation and company policies.
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Prepare payroll reports and related documentation as required.
  • Maintain confidential employee files and HR records.
  • Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Coordinate employee documentation, training records, and benefit administration.
  • Support HR policies, programs, and company initiatives.
  • Assist with recruitment activities, including posting positions and scheduling interviews.
  • Provide general administrative support to management and office staff.
  • Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and direct communications as required.
  • Assist with additional administrative tasks as assigned.
