The company has experienced significant growth over the past several years and is continuing to build out its internal infrastructure and processes. They are looking for someone who can bring organization, urgency, and consistency to a complex payroll environment.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of payroll experience
  • Construction industry experience
  • Comfortable working in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to work independently while remaining team-oriented

Nice To Haves

  • Union payroll and prevailing wage exposure highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Process weekly payroll for 100 to 120 employees (salary and hourly)
  • Manage union payroll administration and compliance
  • Handle prevailing wage and public works payroll reporting
  • Review and correct employee timecards and labor allocations
  • Track workers’ compensation classifications and downtime
  • Ensure payroll deductions, taxes, and 401(k) changes are processed accurately
  • Partner closely with accounting and operations teams
  • Maintain payroll records with a high level of accuracy and data integrity
  • Ensure payroll deadlines are consistently met in a fast-moving environment
