Requirements

  • Interpersonal skills, including active listening, reading comprehension, critical thinking and logic.
  • Communication skills, written and oral.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite applications (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel).
  • Knowledge of HRIS system, with emphasis on UKG.
  • Ability to observe and receive information, compile and calculate data, and perform day-to-day administrative tasks.
  • Ability to work on detailed data that requires accuracy, exactness, and thoroughness with time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Ability to work with others in a friendly, cooperative, and supportive role, while maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR/Business/Accounting/Finance or other related field required
  • Minimum of one year’s experience in Payroll or a related position preferred.
  • OneLegacy requires employees to maintain a current California driver’s license and current vehicle insurance based on California minimum insurance coverage standards.
  • Reliable automotive transportation required.

Responsibilities

  • Daily review of time sheets and work schedules; create or extract other data to detect payroll discrepancies and suggest corrections.
  • Verifies attendance, hours worked, and posts information onto designated records or reports.
  • Working with employee and their supervisors to ensure compliance with timekeeping policies and procedures.
  • Supports leadership and staff with resolving issues and answers payroll-related questions, including training to help employees understand and use the timekeeping and payroll systems.
  • Supports leadership with scheduling, timekeeping, and report generation.
  • Assists with payroll processing to ensure the payroll is processed timely and accurately, in compliance with policies, procedures and legal requirements.
  • Assists with preparation or distribution of relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly, and/or annual reports, dashboards, data support, etc.
  • Assists with pre and post payroll processes, such as scanning of files, filing, generating reports, and attending meetings and debriefs related to payroll.
  • Assists with all internal and external audits related to payroll, as directed by the Payroll Manager.
  • Work closely with Human Resources on timekeeping issues, creating reports and providing support for employee investigations.
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping confidential information.
  • Supports the organization’s Standards of Professional Conduct as outlined by the organization’s policies and procedures, and the mission, vision and core values.
  • Attends meetings as required and participates on committees as directed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
