About The Position

The Payroll Clerk will be responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll using time and attendance and payroll systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance. This role involves verifying employee changes, processing manual payroll checks, generating payroll reports, and reconciling payroll-related taxes and benefits. The Payroll Clerk will also train new leaders on the payroll system, manage vacation balance reports, and liaise with the Talent and Culture department on pay-related matters. The position requires adherence to departmental policies, safety procedures, and participation in special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Window applications or relevant computer applications required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Dayforce and Unifocus preferred
  • Previous Office Administration and Hotel Accounting experience preferred
  • Experience with union regulations preferred

Responsibilities

  • Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
  • Verifies employee changes done through interface are accurate and match paperwork
  • Processes bi-weekly payroll using time and attendance and payroll systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Processes manual payroll checks as needed
  • Generates and saves payroll related reports for the DOF/ADOF to prepare the payroll journals
  • Runs daily labor reports from Dayforce and Unifocus (Watson)
  • Familiarity with Unifocus as a backup admin user
  • Reconciles and audits all payroll-related taxes/benefits bi-weekly
  • Trains new leaders on the payroll system and process
  • Verifies employee changes are accurate and match paperwork
  • Compiles audit packages for each payroll to ensure all paperwork has appropriate approvals and meets with standards and procedures guidelines
  • Liaises with Talent and Culture regarding pay related items, including rates of pay, employee questions, employee changes, and compliance
  • Manages and communicates vacation balance report for all departments in the hotel
  • Follow departmental policies and procedures
  • Follow all safety policies
  • Performs other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned
