About The Position

Under the general direction of the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Clerk I performs duties to ensure accurate processing and recording of the company’s payroll, provide timely and accurate financial information, daily data entry and perform related work as required. Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • One-year experience or education in related field or one-year general office experience.
  • Ability to organize, compile and analyze data.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to use office equipment.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office Programs.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains employee payroll records.
  • Responsible for checking and auditing time and attendance records.
  • Disseminate electronic time sheet information to supervisors for confirmation of hours worked.
  • Responsible for maintaining pre-set labor distribution rules.
  • Processes manual payroll checks, as requested.
  • Answering employees’ questions and concerns regarding payroll.
  • Maintains accruals (PTO & Sick Pay) balances in accordance with Clinica Sierra Vista policy.
  • Prepares and distributes bi-weekly post payroll reports.
  • Maintains changes to employee’s retirement plan deductions.
  • Prepares and submits all necessary paperwork for tax deductions, direct deposit changes and garnishments.
  • Responsible for the accumulation of data for all payroll reporting requirements.
  • Processes miscellaneous payroll deductions and preparation of payable payroll requests.
  • Participates in annual corporate and program audits.
  • Responsible for printing live checks and direct deposit vouchers.
  • Perform other departmental related duties.
  • On a scheduled basis may be required to work at any Satellite Facility.
  • Reasonable and predictable in person attendance.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule that may include weekends and Holidays
