About The Position

Chase Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Payroll & Benefits Specialist to support payroll administration, employee onboarding, benefits administration, and HR operations within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining employee records, supporting benefit programs, and delivering a positive employee experience throughout onboarding and employment lifecycle activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong systems capability, hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now, and the ability to manage confidential information with accuracy and professionalism. Manufacturing industry experience is strongly preferred.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of payroll, benefits, or HR operations experience required, including hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now
  • Manufacturing experience strongly preferred, including support of hourly employee populations and multi-state payroll administration
  • Strong data entry accuracy, attention to detail, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of payroll, benefits administration, and HR compliance practices, with the ability to manage confidential information professionally and discreetly
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for payroll processing activities for hourly and salaried employees in partnership with the HR and payroll team
  • Perform payroll-related data entry, audits, and updates within ADP Workforce Now
  • Review payroll transactions including hours worked, deductions, benefit changes, and wage adjustments to help ensure accuracy
  • Assist with payroll reporting, recordkeeping, and compliance activities
  • Respond to employee payroll-related questions and help resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Support payroll close activities and coordination with Finance as needed
  • Administer employee benefits programs including enrollments, changes, terminations, and employee communications
  • Support annual open enrollment processes and benefits-related employee education
  • Coordinate with benefits vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve employee issues
  • Maintain accurate benefits records and ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations
  • Assist employees with benefit inquiries and provide day-to-day support
  • Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation activities
  • Prepare onboarding documentation and ensure completion of employment paperwork
  • Manage the HR ticketing system, responding to and resolving a variety of employee questions related to payroll, benefits, HR policies, and general HR support
  • Maintain employee files and HRIS records with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality
  • Support HR compliance activities including I-9 administration and policy acknowledgments
  • Assist with HR reporting, audits, and administrative support as needed
  • Partner with HR and site leadership to support employee engagement and operational initiatives
