Requirements

  • 1-3 years of Payroll and Benefits experience is preferred
  • Possessing a certificate in Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) is an advantage
  • You are flexible and calm when managing tight deadlines, competing tasks, and changes
  • You have the ability to perform at a high level of integrity and confidentiality
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development and staying updated with policy, legislation and best practices
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and provide accurate advice in line with payroll and benefits

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full payroll cycle, including new hires, terminations, promotions, salary changes, timesheet verification, and payroll processing.
  • Process payroll accurately and on time while ensuring compliance with payroll legislation, company policies, and employment standards.
  • Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, coverage changes, terminations and pensions.
  • Maintain accurate payroll, benefits, attendance, and employee records while ensuring confidentiality.
  • Coordinate with benefit providers, Finance, and HR to ensure accurate payroll and benefits administration.
  • Respond to employee payroll and benefits inquiries with professionalism, accuracy, and confidentiality.
  • Prepare payroll reports, reconcile discrepancies, and assist with year-end reporting, audits, and Records of Employment (ROEs).
  • Monitor legislative and policy updates to ensure payroll and benefits processes remain compliant and up to date.
  • Research, prepare, and analyze reports, including absence reports, candidate listings, inactive positions, secondments, and other HR-related reports as required.
  • Identify and resolve payroll system issues, submit support tickets when needed, and support continuous process improvements.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
