Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processing, and benefits administration, payroll taxes and federal, state and local employment regulations.
  • Experience with exempt and non-exempt payroll, timekeeping, reconciliations, W-2s, 1099s, and compliance reporting.
  • Working knowledge of FMLA, LOA, and employee benefits programs.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple responsibilities, and follow through consistently.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Process and maintain accurate payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees, including data entry, timekeeping validation, payroll balancing, and liability calculations.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll, benefits, and compensation discrepancies promptly and accurately.
  • Prepare payroll, accounting, compliance, and management reports and support audits with timely documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, compensation, benefits, and employment requirements.
  • Coordinate with HR and Accounting to ensure accurate W-2s, 1099s, and required compliance filings.
  • Administer and support compensation programs, including designing and updating compensation plans to meet employee and business needs.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to payroll and benefits questions and employee inquiries.
  • Assist with Leave of Absence (LOA) administration and FMLA tracking and compliance.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll, employee, executive, family, proprietary, and other sensitive information.
  • Provide highly responsive and discreet support for executive and family-related requests and affairs.
  • Maintain strong follow-through, proactively communicate status updates, and consistently meet or exceed deadlines.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, SOPs, and Core Values while supporting the supervisor and team with additional duties as needed.
