About The Position

This role is responsible for processing regular payrolls for salaried employees, handling monthly and quarterly payroll items, and ensuring compliance with certified payrolls. The specialist will also manage 401k deferrals, loan deductions, and prepare various payroll-related files. Additionally, the position involves facilitating the Payroll Budget Process and managing LA Tax incentives and other specific town/parish incentives. On the benefits side, the role administers the daily and annual operations of the 401(k) plan and is responsible for the preparation of Form 5500 for 401(k) and cafeteria plans. Other duties include reviewing and approving offer letters, managing FCRA compliance, EEO-1 reporting, and maintaining workers' compensation case files and audits. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Processes regular payrolls for salaried employees
  • Processes monthly and quarterly payroll items
  • Handles certified payrolls
  • Ensures 401k deferrals and loan deductions are withheld
  • Prepares files for dead inventory, generic earnings and additional payroll processing
  • Facilitates Payroll Budget Process
  • Manages LA Tax incentive and other specific town/parish incentives
  • Administers the day-to-day and annual operations of the 401(k) plan
  • Responsible for preparation of Form 5500 for the 401(k) and cafeteria plans
  • Review and approval of offer letters for recruiting department
  • FCRA – Fair Credit Reporting Act compliance
  • EEO-1 reporting
  • Reports, maintains and monitors all workers’ compensation case files
  • Responsible for annual workers' compensation audit
