About The Position

This position supports the Payroll Office team by delivering exceptional customer service and completing a range of administrative and operational tasks. The ideal candidate will have practical experience in customer service, office administration, and the payroll lifecycle. Key responsibilities include: Serve as the first point of contact by answering phones, responding to inquiries, and warmly greeting visitors to the Payroll Office. Assist with the preparation and organization of payroll materials for university personnel. Support special projects related to the Payroll Office. Provide administrative support to the Payroll Office team, including scheduling assistance, document preparation, and data entry. Assist with maintaining a welcoming and professional environment for students, alumni, faculty, and any visitors to the office.

Requirements

  • Available to work during business hours, Monday – Friday 8am-5pm.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Ability to manage time well.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technology or software.
  • Ability and commitment to confidentiality is must.
  • A confidentiality agreement must be acknowledged.
  • Requires a background check.
  • May require a credit check.
  • Designated as a “Responsible Employee” pursuant to their role under Title IX.
  • Must promptly report allegations of sexual misconduct, sexual violence, and child sexual abuse by or against any student, employee, contractor, or visitor to the University’s Title IX Administrator or any divisional Title IX Coordinator.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
