About The Position

The Payroll Assistant plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll within the organization. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Basic understanding of payroll processes and relevant labor laws in the United States.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
  • Experience with payroll software such as ADP, Paychex, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance requirements related to payroll.
  • Previous experience working in a payroll or accounting support role.
  • Certification in payroll (e.g., Certified Payroll Professional) is a plus.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Bilingual candidates fluent in English and Spanish

  • Ability to provide payroll support in both languages.

Responsibilities

  • Process and input employee timekeeping data and payroll information accurately and on schedule.
  • Verify payroll data for accuracy, including hours worked, deductions, and benefits.
  • Assist in resolving payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing relevant information.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Support payroll reporting and documentation for audits and internal reviews.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to update payroll policies and procedures as needed.
