About The Position

Team Clean, Incorporated is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to support weekly payroll operations for a multi-site workforce. This role assists with payroll processing, compliance, union reporting, and employee support while ensuring accuracy and timeliness under the direction of the Payroll Manager/HR team.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of payroll, administrative, or related experience preferred
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now and/or E-Time systems required
  • Basic understanding of payroll processing, deductions, and compliance
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • High school diploma required

Responsibilities

  • Assist with weekly payroll processing for 500+ employees across multiple worksites
  • Review and verify timesheets, hours worked, and job codes
  • Validate timekeeping entries daily to support payroll deadlines
  • Assist in reviewing overtime, shift differentials, and pay adjustments
  • Support payroll register reviews to ensure accuracy before submission
  • Maintain payroll calendar and assist with internal communication
  • Support compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act and applicable wage laws
  • Assist with maintaining payroll records for audits and reporting
  • Provide documentation support for audits, unemployment claims, and reviews
  • Help maintain accurate wage classifications and employee records
  • Assist with applying union payroll requirements, including dues deductions and remittances, benefit contributions, and PTO/vacation tracking
  • Support processing of union dues and required payments
  • Help resolve basic payroll discrepancies with union employees
  • Maintain employee payroll deductions (health, dental, vision, 401(k), etc.)
  • Assist with benefit remittances and reconciliation support
  • Track PTO, sick time, and leave balances
  • Assist with payroll tax processing and reporting
  • Support preparation of payroll reports, including weekly payroll summaries, W-2 processing support, union dues reports, 401(k) reporting, and General Ledger (GL) support
  • Assist with payroll reconciliations and audits
  • Process and track wage garnishments, child support, and other deductions
  • Ensure timely and accurate entry of legal orders
  • Utilize ADP Workforce Now and E-Time systems for payroll processing
  • Assist with data entry, audits, and system updates
  • Support training of employees on timekeeping procedures
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely manner
  • Assist with resolving pay discrepancies and missing hours
  • Provide employment verifications as needed
