About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a Payroll and HR Administrator for a contract position in Englewood, CO. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. The role is responsible for the timely and accurate end-to-end processing of multi-state payrolls for a mid-size company. The ideal candidate will also support the HR team with day-to-day functions during the implementation of a new ERP system.

Requirements

Four-year college degree in Accounting or a related financial field
Five to ten years of related payroll experience
Experience with SaaS payroll/HRIS systems
Experience with California state payroll regulations
Strong understanding of multi-state payroll regulations and tax management
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including SUMIFS function
Ability to manage the entire payroll process for a mid-sized company
Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and legal documents

Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification

Responsibilities

Perform timely and accurate biweekly payroll for 400+ multi-state employees, including hours worked, piecework, taxes, and insurance
Create accurate Pay Statements and perform time transfer audits
Perform uploads from the Accounting team and import other payroll items (incentives, bonuses, etc.)
Identify and administer retro payments or pay corrections
Review and ensure employees working in multiple states are taxed properly
Manage direct deposits, withholding, and expense reporting setup and changes
Process off-cycle manual termination payments and administer the payroll system
Respond to HR inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs
Prepare promotion and reassignment letters and complete verification of employment requests
Assist with HR special projects, processing of terminations, and the performance review process
