About The Position

Capital Automotive Group is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to manage payroll for employees across Canada and California. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, systems, and ensuring payroll accuracy. The company is looking for a candidate who has completed at least the first course of their PCP certification and is eager for professional growth.

Requirements

• 2+ years of payroll experience.
• Completed the first course of the PCP certification (required).
• A curious mind that loves solving payroll puzzles and digging into details.
• Experience with time-tracking systems and payroll auditing.
• A positive attitude and a willingness to pitch in wherever needed.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a dealership or multi-location environment.
• Commission payroll experience.
• Familiarity with Canadian payroll and California wage laws (or excitement to learn).

Responsibilities

• Processing semi-monthly payroll for all dealerships and body shop locations.
• Auditing time punches for missing or incorrect entries.
• Verifying new hire data to ensure accurate payment from the start.
• Submitting ROEs and monthly payroll surveys.
• Assisting with month-end payroll reports for Controllers.
• Collaborating with HR and Leadership to ensure smooth, accurate, and compliant payroll processes.
• Handling sensitive data with the utmost confidentiality.
