About The Position

As a Payroll Administrator, you'll play a critical role in supporting payroll operations and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for approximately 800–1,000 employees. You'll work closely with employees and internal business partners while helping maintain the integrity of payroll data and processes across the organization. Please Note: This position is fully onsite during the training period. Upon successful completion of training, employees transition to a hybrid schedule with three days in the office and two days working remotely.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience
  • Strong knowledge of payroll principles and practices
  • Experience processing payroll in a high-volume environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and organizational abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Nice To Haves

  • UKG experience preferred
  • Experience with wage garnishments preferred

Responsibilities

  • Open, process, and close payrolls in UKG for approximately 800–1,000 employees, including hourly, salaried, bonus, commission, and supplemental pay transactions
  • Prepare and process payroll data, including new hires, terminations, W-4 changes, direct deposit updates, pay card changes, and employee record maintenance
  • Review and approve payroll changes while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Administer wage garnishments and other payroll deductions
  • Review employee timecards and payroll audits to ensure accurate pay calculations
  • Prepare payroll reports, exports, funding reports, and month-end general ledger reporting
  • Calculate and process monthly bonus payments using payroll systems and spreadsheets
  • Prepare journal entries and assist with branch expense adjustments as needed
  • Research payroll discrepancies and resolve employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Test payroll system upgrades and enhancements to ensure payroll accuracy
  • Train and support payroll team members on payroll processes and best practices
  • Provide outstanding customer service to employees and internal business partners
