As the Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and executing all payroll-related functions, maintaining employee records, and resolving any payroll discrepancies. In addition to handling payroll calculations and tax withholdings, you will also play a key role in preparing reports for management and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of labor laws and regulations. This role demands strong analytical skills, confidentiality, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar role, with a strong understanding of payroll procedures
  • Experience in troubleshooting payroll discrepancies within a system with a strong understanding of payroll audits and payroll balancing
  • Familiarity with payroll software and systems, such as ADP or QuickBooks, is essential
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations and compliance laws
  • Excellent numerical ability and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in payroll processing
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for reporting and analysis
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with employees and management

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Dayforce is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations
  • Maintain payroll records and employee files, ensuring all information is complete and up to date
  • Calculate and verify payroll changes, including new hires, terminations, bonuses, and raises
  • Audit payroll data, including earnings, deductions, and tax calculations, before committing
  • Process off-cycle payrolls, adjustments, and retroactive payments
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll information, resolving discrepancies efficiently
  • Prepare and maintain payroll reports for management review, including salary summaries and tax information
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including multi-state taxation and reciprocity
  • Coordinate with HR and finance teams to ensure proper onboarding and offboarding processes regarding payroll
  • Support year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing and tax reconciliation
