About The Position

Larlyn Property Management is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Administrator to join their Corporate team in London, Ontario. This is a part-time position, working approximately 2 to 3 days per week, with scheduling to be discussed based on payroll deadlines and operational needs. The role involves processing bi-weekly payroll for employees across multiple provinces, ensuring accuracy and compliance with various employment standards. The administrator will also be responsible for reviewing and reconciling timesheets, and providing cross-functional support to departments such as Property Managers, HR, Finance, and Operations on payroll-related matters.

Requirements

  • Detail-oriented and reliable.
  • Experience processing payroll using Payworks.
  • Knowledge of Employment Standards Act, Ontario.
  • Knowledge of Employment Standards Code, Alberta.
  • Understanding of overtime rules, statutory holiday pay, vacation accruals and payouts, and terminations, ROE and final pay.
  • Experience with payroll reporting, audits, year-end processes, T4s, and taxable benefit reporting.
  • Ability to review and reconcile timesheets.
  • Ability to identify and follow up on missing information, discrepancies, or approvals.
  • Ability to work with Property Managers to confirm approved hours.
  • Ability to ensure payroll aligns with approved hours, schedules, and operational requirements.
  • Ability to work closely with Property Managers, HR, Finance, and Operations on payroll-related matters.
  • Ability to support payroll updates related to new hires, compensation changes, terminations, and site-specific arrangements.
  • Ability to assist with onboarding and offboarding payroll setup and required documentation.
  • Ability to interpret payroll impacts related to employment agreements, allowances, and role-specific arrangements.

Responsibilities

  • Process bi-weekly payroll using Payworks for employees across multiple provinces.
  • Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time.
  • Apply payroll requirements under applicable employment standards, including: Employment Standards Act, Ontario and Employment Standards Code, Alberta.
