About The Position

The Payroll Administrator is responsible for accurately processing hourly payroll for multiple locations while maintaining payroll records, supporting time and attendance processes, and ensuring compliance with payroll-related requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of payroll processing experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.

  • Experience processing union payroll.
  • Knowledge of payroll reporting, deductions, garnishments, and retirement contribution processing.
  • Experience with time and attendance systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to build collaborative relationships and work effectively with employees and supervisors across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Process and review hourly payroll transactions for all company locations through a third-party payroll provider.
  • Support payroll distribution and ensure timely, accurate payroll processing.
  • Prepare and process payroll-related deductions, retirement contributions, union dues, and required reports.
  • Audit time and attendance records and work with supervisors to resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain employee information within payroll and timekeeping systems, including new hire setup.
  • Track employee work history, seniority, attendance, and related payroll records.
  • Coordinate hourly employee vacation scheduling and process vacation pay transactions.
  • Maintain employee deduction records, assist with garnishments, and provide backup support for payroll team functions.
