About The Position

Responsible for payroll processing on multiple payroll cycles for the US, Canada and Puerto Rico (as assigned) which includes 12 legal entities, 5 business groups and approximately 13,500 employees in a. Provide payroll support including auditing payroll for completion and accuracy. Provide high quality service to internal and external customers regarding all aspects of payroll processing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in HR, Finance, Business Management or equivalent experience
  • 2 to 4 years of payroll experience required including 2 years in payroll processing
  • Experience in a complex, manufacturing, multiple employee group organization
  • Experience with complex pay practices and multiple pay cycles required
  • Collaboration and influence capabilities with relationship building in their core work
  • Continue to advance Amcor business knowledge inside and outside HR
  • Detail orientation with excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Effective communication skills with solid computer proficiency
  • Empowered team members that understand the importance of being accountable for their actions and decisions
  • Process and system knowledge
  • The ability to both lead and contribute to project management teams
  • The ability to respect and maintain confidential information

Nice To Haves

  • FPC or CPP certification preferred
  • Technical knowledge of HR information systems preferred; UKG and Workday experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist Global Mobility with payroll related items for expats, inpats and relocations
  • Assist with documenting payroll processes and procedures across business groups
  • Effectively troubleshoots, resolves and communicates issues appropriately
  • Ensures timely, accurate payroll processing with minimal errors
  • Focus on defining, recommending and implementing process improvements within the payroll processing area across all business groups
  • Participates in special projects to drive process improvements as assigned
  • Partner with key stakeholders including other shared services members on payroll issues and provide training as needed
  • Process stock and other complex payrolls
  • Provide assistance with the year-end payroll process as directed
  • Provides back-up assistance to other Payroll Administrators as needed
  • Provides support to HRIS to ensure the Workday payroll system is in compliance with company policies
  • Responsible and accountable for settling large multi-million dollar payrolls covering multiple pay cycles
  • Responsible for maintaining, reviewing and responding to inquiries from internal and external customers within established SLA’s and quality measures
  • Support consistency and applies a continuous improvement framework to program implementation, administration and service level agreements
  • Other duties as assigned
