About The Position

This is a temporary assignment for approximately 3-4 months. The primary function is to perform or cross-train in all accounting functions related to the revenue and payment cycles.

Requirements

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role.
  • Minimum high school diploma.
  • Experience using different accounting software and Microsoft office programs.
  • Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, general ledger accounting, and cost accounting.
  • Experience with purchase orders and shipping/receiving.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and good presentation of financial reports.
  • Knowledge of construction payroll and job costing.
  • Understanding of payroll taxes and employee benefits.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or certificate in accounting is preferred.
  • Experience in the construction industry, electrical construction helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Accurate and timely data entry and processing of 52 weekly payroll batches per year.
  • Reconciliation of all payroll taxes.
  • Processing and submittal of all certified payroll reports.
  • Reconciliation of all employee benefits (401k, medical, allowances, etc).
  • Verify proper cost accounting of payments.
  • Reconcile monthly vendor statements.
  • Assist in preparation of monthly billings.
  • Assist in monthly trial balance reconciliations.
  • Assist with monthly accounting close.
  • Other duties as assigned.
