About The Position

Vermont Federal Credit Union is seeking a Payments Manager based at its Kennedy Drive Operations Center in South Burlington, Vermont. The role supports the credit union’s mission and core values by ensuring outstanding service for internal and external members. The manager leads and coordinates the payments team and is responsible for managing and optimizing payment systems, providing a seamless payment experience, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and other requirements. The role covers digital payments, wire operations, inclearing, and credit and debit cards and ATMs. The annual salary range is $86,136.96–$129,205.44.

Requirements

• Five to eight years of similar or related experience.
• A four-year college degree.
• Ability to motivate, influence, and/or train others.
• Ability to foster sound relationships with external entities and influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all activities of the payments team, including digital payments, wire operations, inclearing, cards, and ATMs.
• Understand all aspects of the credit union’s card programs and support and optimize those services on an ongoing basis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to execute payment strategies and create efficiencies.
• Research emerging payment technologies and trends and evaluate potential implementation, including impacts on members, employees, and operating models.
• Assist with managing ACH, inclearing, external loan payments, wires, cards, and other digital payments.
• Engage with external business partners and associates to ensure systems and services support excellent member service and comply with laws and regulations.
• Reconcile vendor accounts.
• Oversee reporting for payments and cards, including oversight of helpdesks.
• Deliver service aligned with the credit union’s core values.
