About The Position
Cardiology Associates is seeking an experienced, full-time Payment Processor for its Providence location on Airport Boulevard in Mobile, Alabama. This role is suited to a detail-oriented, self-motivated professional with medical office experience who enjoys working in a team environment. The Payment Processor handles high-volume payment posting and reconciliation, reviews insurer payment documentation, applies basic accounting principles, and works with teammates to resolve payment-related questions.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of payment processing experience in a physician’s office or accounting office.
- Medical office experience.
- Proficiency in interpreting EOBs/EOPs and reconciling payments.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to manage high-volume posting accurately and with attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Responsibilities
- Accurately process and post a high volume of payments.
- Review and interpret Explanations of Benefits (EOBs) and Explanations of Payment (EOPs) from various insurance payers.
- Reconcile payments and identify discrepancies to ensure accurate posting.
- Apply basic accounting principles to daily payment processing.
- Communicate with team members to resolve payment-related questions.
