About The Position
Carolina Oncology Specialists has been caring for patients in Catawba County since 1983, offering patients high quality, personalized healthcare close to their own home so patients and caregivers don’t have to travel far for excellent care. Our patients experience the convenience of in-clinic chemotherapy treatments, as well as the treatment and management of blood disorders. We are looking for talented and highly-motivated individuals who demonstrate a natural desire to support the meaningful work of community oncologists and the patients we serve.
Requirements
- Accurate and timely posting of insurance payments (EOBs/ERAs) and patient payments (checks, credit cards, cash)
- Review of Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and Electronic Remittance Advice (ERAs) for accuracy
- Reconciliation of daily payment batches and ensuring totals match deposits
- Processing of refunds and credit balances
- Maintenance of accurate patient account records within the billing system
- Collaboration with billing, coding, and collections teams to resolve payment issues
- Assistance with month-end closing and reporting activities
- Compliance with HIPAA and all regulatory requirements
Responsibilities
