About The Position

State Street is seeking a strategic, delivery-focused payments leader to lead the business execution of its Payments Risk and Resiliency Programs across payment anomaly detection, end-to-end payment traceability, and SWIFT resiliency. The role connects the three workstreams through integrated governance, business and technology alignment, interdependency management, and disciplined delivery. It also leads the transition from project implementation to a sustainable business-as-usual operating model and assumes ongoing ownership and daily management of the capabilities to ensure their effectiveness, governance, and business outcomes. The programs aim to strengthen payment messaging resilience through improved end-to-end traceability, anomaly detection and response, and infrastructure readiness. The role provides senior business leadership to ensure new capabilities become controlled, scalable, and operationally effective services. The position works with stakeholders across Payments Operations, Technology, Cybersecurity, Architecture, Risk, Compliance, Client Service, Finance, and SWIFT.

Requirements

  • Senior leadership, operations, and programme delivery experience in global payments, treasury, settlement, or financial market infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end payment flows, SWIFT messaging, screening, operational controls, resilience, and technology dependencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead business and technology change from discovery through implementation and BAU transition.
  • Excellent governance, executive communication, stakeholder influence, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong risk, control, regulatory, and audit awareness, including operational resilience and data protection considerations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, technology, risk, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of relevant financial services experience, including senior programme or change leadership.
