About The Position

NE Construction is seeking a detail-oriented, tech-savvy Paycom Specialist to join our HR department. The Paycom Specialist will serve as the primary subject matter expert for our Paycom Human Capital Management platform. The Paycom Specialist will be responsible for system administration, ensuring payroll accuracy, optimizing HR workflows, and training staff on system utilization. The ideal candidate bridges the gap between human resources and systems technology, leveraging Paycom to streamline the entire employee lifecycle—from recruiting and onboarding through performance management and payroll.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of dedicated experience administering the Paycom platform is required.
  • Punctual and regular attendance is required.
  • Strong understanding of general HR practices, recruiting compliance (EEO/FCRA), performance management frameworks, and payroll regulations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Paycom modules (Talent Acquisition/ATS, Performance Management, Payroll, Time & Attendance, Benefits).
  • Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables).
  • Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential data with discretion.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full-cycle recruiting workflow within Paycom’s ATS module.
  • Partner with hiring managers to post open positions, track candidate pipelines, schedule interviews, send offer letters, and initiate background checks directly through the platform.
  • Administer the annual, bi-annual, or continuous performance review processes within Paycom.
  • Configure evaluation templates, establish review timelines, trigger automated reminders, and assist managers and employees with navigating the performance module.
  • Serve as the primary administrator for the Paycom platform, managing user access, system configuration, troubleshooting technical issues, and implementing new modules.
  • Oversee the end-to-end payroll process within Paycom.
  • Monitor and audit timecards, manage paid time off (PTO) accruals, process deductions, and ensure accurate, timely semi-monthly/bi-weekly payroll execution.
  • Manage the digital onboarding workflow in Paycom for new hires seamlessly transitioning candidates from the ATS into the core HR system (I-9 verification, direct deposit, tax forms).
  • Coordinate offboarding/termination workflows.
  • Design, generate, and analyze routine and ad-hoc reports (e.g., time-to-hire, recruiting source effectiveness, performance review completion rates, turnover, headcount) using Paycom’s reporting tools to support leadership decision-making.
  • Act as the main point of contact for employee and manager inquiries regarding Paycom.
  • Create user guides and conduct training sessions to maximize system adoption, specifically helping managers utilize the ATS and Performance modules effectively.
  • Perform other duties and assist co-workers as directed by supervisor.
