About The Position

Weber Human Services (WHS), located in Ogden, Utah, serves a growing urban population in Weber and Morgan Counties. WHS is dedicated to helping those in need rebuild their lives and reach their full potential. Organized by a cooperative agreement between Weber and Morgan county governments, WHS is the local authority for substance abuse, mental health, and senior service programs, and is unique in Utah for providing these services under a single administration. Through dozens of human services programs, WHS supports and empowers vulnerable groups including at-risk youth, the elderly, children, youth, and adults suffering from mental illnesses, and those recovering from addictions. WHS aims to create hope and opportunities for clients and staff to become their best selves and find joy through people, place, and purpose. This position specifically supports the recruitment function for the three AmeriCorps Seniors programs at WHS: RSVP, Foster Grandparent Program, and Senior Companion Program. The role involves marketing and recruitment to enroll new volunteers for each program.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Two years working with the public.
• Marketing/Recruitment experience or schooling in a related field is a must.
• Knowledge of Canva and Microsoft programs needed.
• Must pass an FBI and state fingerprint background screening and drug test prior to hire.
• Valid Utah driver license with good driving record required.
• Must be willing to complete and criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.

Nice To Haves

• Spanish fluency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Marketing and recruitment to enroll new volunteers for serve on each program.
• Social media marketing.
• Organizing and participating in pop-up events, presentations, and community events.
• Meeting with community partners.
• Contacting potential volunteers to provide additional information regarding program guidelines.
