About The Position

Best Point Education & Behavioral Health is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payables Administrator to join our Accounting team. In this role, you’ll help keep our financial operations running smoothly by managing invoices, purchase orders, vendor information, payments, reimbursements, and account reconciliations.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Accounting or a combination of education and professional experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Enter and process invoices accurately on a daily basis.
  • Complete and process purchase orders in accordance with agency policies.
  • Prepare and distribute payments through the computerized payable system, including checks, ACH payments, and credit card payments.
  • Review receipts and supporting documentation prior to processing reimbursements.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve outstanding issues.
  • Collect W-9 forms and maintain accurate vendor profiles.
  • Maintain accurate and complete financial documentation in accordance with agency policies.
  • Assist with the annual audit by gathering documentation and addressing routine requests.
  • Perform basic reconciliations for corporate credit card accounts, ensuring receipts match monthly statements.
  • Assist with developing and improving routine accounting processes.
  • Process and distribute checks, ACH payments, and credit card payments.
  • Maintain petty cash accounts and ensure appropriate safekeeping of agency funds.
  • Work with management to identify and communicate cash requirements as needed.
  • Partner with the Account Manager and agency leadership to support accurate and timely financial operations.
  • Communicate professionally with internal teams and vendors to resolve payment, documentation, and account questions.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and service-focused accounting environment.
