About The Position

The Patient Transporter at Shady Grove Medical Center transports patients to and from locations within the hospital. The role also includes organizing and distributing schedules, maintaining transportation supplies, and assisting on nursing units when available. This is a part-time day-shift position scheduled for 24 hours per week, typically 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. three days a week. The schedule includes an every-other-weekend rotation and follows the company holiday calendar.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to prioritize and report observed changes in patient condition or behavior to an RN.
• Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
• Skill in speaking with others to effectively convey information.
