About The Position

Under the direction of the Supervisor - Patient Transportation, the Senior Patient Transporter maintains departmental services and provides a centralized knowledge base for departmental duties and functions, including Lift Tech, Dispatch, Courier, and Transportation programs. The role supports adherence to facility policies and procedures, including quality assurance, safety, environmental, and infection control programs. The position requires minimal supervision.

Requirements

• Within 30 days of hire, obtain National Provider BLS from the American Heart Association.
• At least 6 months of Patient Transportation and/or Dispatching experience.
• At least 6 months of customer service experience, preferably in a health care setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain departmental services and provide a centralized knowledge base for Lift Tech, Dispatch, Courier, and Transportation programs.
• Coach staff and support adherence to facility policies and procedures, including quality assurance, safety, environmental, and infection control programs.
• Use sound decision-making and maintain the safe, proper function of patient movement equipment.
• Report issues to Supervisors.
