About The Position

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Patient Transporter to support technologists by transporting patients to and from medical floors, the emergency room, and changing rooms. The role helps maintain an on-time schedule while providing patients with quality care, safety, and outstanding customer service. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The pay range is $18.00–$23.48, based on direct and relevant experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and transport inpatients to and from medical floors and outpatients to and from changing rooms, focusing on quality care and patient safety.
• Help technologists stay on schedule by preparing the next patient before the current patient is ready to leave the table, including while completing other tasks.
• Assist patients on or off the table when requested by a technologist.
• Pull patient jackets for upcoming procedures.
• Assist with processing X-ray films and digitize films to support a CR upgrade.
• Prepare patient jackets and compile films in the appropriate jacket according to date and number.
• Assist with room setup between patients, including placing the proper coil on the table, putting away the previous coil, and changing the table sheet.
• Stock and clean work and control areas and rooms.
• Organize and clean the supply closet and computer rooms.
• Ensure departmental equipment is properly disinfected and in good working order.
• Perform filing, film delivery, and other clerical duties as needed.
• Check with technologists, IC, Medical Records, and/or Front Office for additional duties as needed.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
