About The Position
Baptist Medical Center is seeking a PRN Patient Transporter for its Patient Escort Services Department at Baptist Downtown. The role is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting patients, using a wheelchair, stretcher, or bed as appropriate, while working with nursing staff to maintain continuity of patient care. The position is based at the Downtown Main Building in Jacksonville, Florida.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Responsibilities
- Accept patient move assignments from the Dispatcher.
- Transport patients safely and efficiently using a wheelchair, stretcher, or bed, as appropriate.
- Work closely with nursing staff to maintain continuity of patient care.
- Comply with mandatory education and health requirements.
