About The Position

Saint Luke’s South is seeking a part-time Patient Transporter to join their team. The Service Associate functions as a Patient Transporter who will move patients by wheelchair or car throughout the hospital for various reasons, through manual or computerized job assignments. This role requires utilizing infection prevention techniques, patient transfer techniques, and knowledge of appropriate routes to ensure patients are safely and efficiently moved. Good communication with nursing clinical staff is required, and the transporter must recognize when to ask for help or continued guidance. The role also involves maintaining and protecting the integrity of patients' tubes, lines, and collection devices, as well as moving patient valuables and equipment.

Requirements

• Less than 1 year of applicable experience.
