Patient Transporter - Part Time
About The Position
Saint Luke’s North Hospital in Kansas City is seeking a Patient Transporter to join their team. Through manual or computerized job assignments, the Service Associate functions as a Patient Transporter who will move patients by wheel chair or car throughout the hospital for various reasons. The role involves utilizing infection prevention techniques, patient transfer techniques, and knowledge of appropriate routes to ensure patients are safely and efficiently moved. Good communication with nursing clinical staff is required, and the transporter must recognize when to ask for help or continued guidance. They will also maintain and protect the integrity of patients' tubes, lines, and collection devices, and will move patient valuables and equipment.
Requirements
- Less than 1 year of applicable experience.
- Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross certification.
Responsibilities
- Move patients by wheelchair or car throughout the hospital.

Benefits
- Minimum starting rates of $17.50 per hour
- Evening and Weekend Shift Differential $1.00
- Weekend Shift Differential $2.00
