About The Position

The Patient Transporter moves patients and patient equipment throughout Christus Spohn Hospital Shoreline, providing friendly, compassionate service and helping maintain a safe, comfortable healing environment. The role works with nursing staff, medical staff, and other hospital departments to support patient satisfaction and efficient department operations. Full-time and part-time positions are available, with day, evening, and night shifts.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
Maintain good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and wear a uniform.
Hold American Heart Association CPR certification or obtain certification through HHS.
Must pass a background check and drug screen and provide proof of U.S. employment eligibility.
Be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, twist, kneel, and reach continuously throughout a shift.
Be able to push and pull carts or equipment weighing over 100 pounds on tile and carpeted floors continuously throughout a shift.
Be able to operate equipment necessary to perform the essential functions of the job.

Nice To Haves

Patient transportation experience, including experience in cleaning, environmental services, custodial or janitorial work, healthcare, patient care, or equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

Transport patients in wheelchairs, hospital beds, or on stretchers.
Work with nursing, medical staff, and other hospital departments to support patient satisfaction.
Practice cooperation, patience, effective communication, and teamwork.
Clean and disinfect patient transport equipment to support patient safety.
Follow HHS and regulatory procedures and best practices.
Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently.
