About The Position

Saint Luke’s East is seeking a part-time Patient Transporter to join their team. The Service Associate will function as a Patient Transporter, moving patients via wheelchair or car throughout the hospital for various reasons, utilizing manual or computerized job assignments.

Requirements

• Less than 1 year of applicable experience.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes infection prevention techniques and patient transfer techniques, along with knowledge of appropriate routes, to ensure patients are safely and efficiently moved.
• Communicates effectively with nursing clinical staff.
• Recognizes when to ask for help or continued guidance.
• Maintains and protects the integrity of patients' tubes, lines, and collection devices.
• Moves patient valuables and equipment.
