Patient Transport, Northwest Community Hospital, Evening
About The Position
The Patient Transport role at Northwest Community Hospital, located in Arlington Heights, IL, is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with evening hours from 3pm to 11:30pm, including rotating weekends and holiday schedules. This position reports to the Director of Patient Transport and is responsible for the safe and efficient physical transport of patients within the hospital. This includes transports for admissions, discharges, and to and from diagnostic testing departments. The role may also involve transporting equipment and supplies to support departmental and hospital operations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- CPR BLS (American Heart Association healthcare provider) within 3 months of hire
- AED training within 3 months of hire
- Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact in a positive manner with patients, their families, nursing staff and physicians.
- Verbal and written English skills necessary to clearly and effectively communicate information.
- Organizational skills necessary to prioritize and complete transport tasks in a timely manner.
- Ability to use and apply correct body mechanics when positioning and transporting patients.

Responsibilities
