About The Position

Voyago is assisting one of their independent contractors in finding part-time and full-time Patient Transfer Attendants for their team in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. They are seeking individuals to fill vacancies and support future route opportunities. The role involves the safe transport of patients via stretcher/wheelchair to/from healthcare facilities, nursing homes, or private residences, while providing outstanding customer service and utilizing excellent communication skills.

Requirements

• Valid First Responder Certification OR AEMCA, OR working towards a Paramedic Diploma (must be finished year 1) OR are a Firefighter with Emergency Medical Responder Certification.
• Valid CPR and First Aid (Level C)
• Valid G class driving license
• Ability to lift 250+ lbs. using a stretcher or stair chair with partner
• Effective communication in both verbal and written English
• Safe driver with a clean driving record
• Ability to obtain a clean Criminal Record Search with Vulnerable Sector screening
• Up to date immunization records (MMR, DPT, Polio, Varicella, Hepatitis B, COVID-19 (2 doses), TB Skin Test (Step 1) valid within last 12 months)
• Successfully completed High School or proof of equivalency or post-secondary diploma
• Live in Sault Ste Marie or surrounding area
