About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Sault St. Marie, MI. This position performs a variety of technical procedures that requires the use of independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist should have knowledge about Nuclear Medicine Instrumentation which includes the use of gamma cameras (both planar and SPECT), PET, Radiation detectors/counters, dose calibrators, and the Quality Control of all equipment. The technologist should have knowledge about Radiation Safety Practices/Handling, patient and occupational exposures, dosimetry, and ALARA techniques. They must also understand Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) guidelines and have knowledge about Radiopharmacy, including safe administration, preparation, measurement, and quality control of radiopharmaceuticals for Diagnostic and/or Therapeutic purposes.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of Nuclear Medicine Experience
  • ARRT(N) or NMTCB Registered (or equivalent)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Professionalism and reliability
  • Pass a drug screen and background check

Responsibilities

  • Injects and administers all radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Assays radiopharmaceutical activities.
  • Calculates volume and activity concentrations for radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Performs laboratory procedures including many aspects of measurement, manipulation, and preparation of radiopharmaceutical kits and unit doses.
  • Understands Nuclear Medicine protocols and procedures.
  • Positions patients on equipment per protocol and procedure.
  • Monitors patient during procedures.
  • Performs Intravenous (IV) access starting skills.
  • Operates all Nuclear Medicine Instrumentation devices.
  • Understands Radiation Safety regulations and procedures and applies them diligently.
