About The Position
Voyago is hiring Part Time Patient Transfer Attendants to fill current open positions for our Owen Sound region. The role is responsible for the safe transport of patients via stretcher/wheelchair to/from a healthcare facility, nursing home, or private residence. The attendant should be able to provide outstanding customer service and possess excellent communication skills.
Requirements
- Valid First Responder Certification OR AEMCA, OR working towards a Paramedic Diploma (must be finished year 1) OR are a Firefighter with Emergency Medical Responder Certification.
- Valid BLS certificate or CPR Level HCP
- Valid G class driving license
- Ability to remain calm in an emergency situation
- Ability to lift 250+ lbs. using a stretcher or stair chair with partner.
- Effectively communicate in both verbal and written English.
- Safe driver with a clean driving record
- Ability to obtain a clean Criminal Record Search with Vulnerable Sector
- Up to date immunization records and can provide the following records of: MMR, DPT, Polio, Varicella, Hepatitis B, COVID-19 (2 doses), TB Skin Test (Step 1) must be valid within last 12 month.
- Work 12hrs floating with a start time anytime between 6am and 12pm including every other weekend.
